eCommerce solutions to suit your needs:

To sell your products online, you need a Catalogue (a way to display what you are selling), a Shopping Cart (so that people can buy more than 1 item at a time, plus manage details like addresses, totals, invoicing etc.), and a secure, reliable method of payment.  You also need Online Marketing, a separate topic for now.

Please note that our servers are PCI compliant, so that sensitive data sent to or from your website can be secure and encrypted.

Shopping Carts:
The most important component here is the shopping cart, which additionally should provide you with additional features - such as encouraging repeat shoppers, informing your customers of special offers & discounts available and upselling where possible.  The software should also take care of shipping costs, tax if applicable, delivery address if different to billing address, multiple currencies (if selling globally) and so on.

We provide 2 levels of e-Commerce shopping cart - the first is our most often used and is suitable for when your eCommerce needs are pretty standard and simple.  The second is a more expensive option, but provides much greater flexibility - such as multiple languages and more complex shipping charges.  See  http://honeycentre.com/shop/ (English and Arabic) for an example of our multi-language shopping carts.

Both shopping cart levels allow you to manage your own product listings, prices, taxes and costs - through simple to use back office webpages.
Both shopping carts also provide a simple way to display your catalogue of products.
We will advise you as to the best way to go, with a clear explanation of the benefits to you.
We can also tailor anything to your exact specification if none of the available options gives you what you want (but at extra cost).

Catalogues:
Once the number of products you have becomes too many to manage easily - consider the time required to make changes, add or remove products, update descriptions, prices, new photos etc. then you should consider using our Online Products Catalogue.   The savings in time are considerable, but the ease of use is perhaps it's most valuable characteristic; you will not find an easier way to display a large number of products online, and in multiple category levels as required.

Payments Mechanism:
Firstly we advise that you never 'touch' credit card details in your website - the risk and liability is simply not worth it.  Even if stolen card details were not stolen from you, if you had the details of that card at any stage you might still be under suspicion.  If instead - as we recommend - the credit card transaction is handled externally, then you can never be held liable for any stolen card details.

There are 2 basic ways to accept online payments:

  • Payment Gateways - such as www.dps.co.nz or www.paystation.co.nz
For these you will need an Online Merchant Bank Account - your bank will best be able to explain the requirements and costs associated with this special type of bank account.
  • eCommerce Money transactors - such as www.PayPal.com or www.Paymate.com
This method bypasses the need for a special bank account, instead you manage an account online - including transferring money to and from your normal bank accounts whenever you want.

We can provide ANY Payment Gateway of your choice (including as standard offerings, well known gateways like WorldPay, PayPro, Verisign, Paystation, eWay & Nochex).

We can also provide you with Payments mechanisms where the card is processed ON your website (even if we don't recommend this), using gateways such as Authorise.net, eWay & Payments Express.

We can also provide off-line payment options if you prefer to deal with electronic transfers, cash or cheques.  This can also be in addition to online payments.
